I looooove to read, always have. My current preferences are paranormal romance, sci-fi romance, fantasy, mysteries, romantic suspense, a little historical romance and a dash of horror to round it all out. Guess that means I read pretty much everything. I have many, many authors who I read and there are a few I buy no matter what the genre is or cover looks like. Those authors would be: Gena Showalter (I haven't read a bad or even so-so book by her yet and her last one was oh so funny), JR Ward (her blackdagger brotherhood series is simply addicting), Lilith Saintcrow (I started her new Dante Valentine series and am now currently trying to get my hands on her backlist), Lisa Kleypas (NO ONE writes historicals like she does), Michelle M Pillow (it started with her e-books and now I am trying to get her books in print), Janet Evanovich (some of hers are so funny I have almost wet my pants while reading), Sherrilyn Kenyon (or Kinley MacGregor, whatever name she goes by everything she writes is good whether it be paranormal or historical romance) and Kresly Cole ( a new fave who I am currently reading the old stuff while waiting on her next book).
